Enhance your smile with Porcelain Veneers At Dr. Arora’s Dental Square

Gap-Closure with Porcelain Veneers (Actual Photos of patients at our clinic)

Do you look at magazine models and television stars wishing you had the same confident grin they have? Smiles can suffer from a variety of cosmetic problems. Your teeth could be worn, chipped, broken, or crooked. There could be gaps between your teeth. They could be discolored from tetracycline or root canal treatment, and these types of stains won’t respond to tooth whitening.

This is the ultimate in a cosmetic dental make-over. Many cosmetic dental problems can be permanently resolved with porcelain veneers. Whether you have chipped, gapped, stained or mis-aligned teeth, this is the answer. This wafer-thin porcelain is form-fitted to each individual problem tooth. As strong as one's own teeth, these veneers resist future discoloration and chipping.

There are two main types of material used to fabricate a veneer -- Composite and dental Porcelain. A composite veneer may be directly placed (built-up in the mouth), or indirectly fabricated by a dental technician in a dental laboratory, and later bonded to the tooth, typically using a resin cement . In contrast, a porcelain veneer may only be indirectly fabricated. Only two or more visits are required to have the perfect smile.

What Types of Problems Do Dental Veneers Fix?

  • Teeth that are discolored -- either because of root canal treatment; stains from tetracycline or other drugs, excessive fluoride or other causes; or the presence of large resin fillings that have discolored the tooth
  • Teeth that are worn down
  • Teeth that are chipped or broken
  • Teeth that are misaligned, uneven, or irregularly shaped (for example, have craters or bulges in them)
  • Teeth with gaps between them (to close the space between these teeth)
